There's not really a dress code in hairdressing, it could be any thing, but nothing to revealing. To show you are professional image you should dress up to match your hair. Like if it's rock , you should have black t-shirt and jeans. A lots of hairdresser use those hair dress apron and put scissors and hair clips around them, but for me , i don't like it. It cover the style of the hairdresser also look non fashion.

I have never seen a salon with a dress code but they always look great when i go to get my hair done. I think it is important to wear something that your comfy in and appropriate shoes since there is a lot of standing. I think its good to be unique since it makes you look more creative and i find creative people to be more aproachable.
