Why Should We Hire You?

Why should we hair you? if that's me i will lie for this question. I never know how to answer this question, i will hesitate for a long time and couldn't think of any thing.

After i read others blog , i find out that not have to be so fancy, just base on your skills and intrest, answer the truth.

Now if someone ask me this question, i will tell them my intrest of hairdressing, what did i study for that, and what i will do in the future for this company.

Professional Product

The only one brand of shampoo i will use is John Frieda Collection , it's the only kind and the best kind i will use. It have Shampoo, Conditioner and Stylers for Blond, Brunette and Red. My hair is black so i use brunette.Their shampoo are for all shades, so anykind of hair you can use that.
This products gives the smoothest and shiniest hair ever, it's just look amazing!! Also the smells is so good!!
Shampoo and conditioner is the best prodect to help your customer's hair look good, if you have the best skills in the world to cut hair but with out a good condioner, it dosen't work at all.
So if you want to buy John Fireda , you can go to walmart or other super markets, it a bit expensive than others but the effect is the best, any one whants smooth and shinny hair , go for it!give it a try!

Professional Image

There's not really a dress code in hairdressing, it could be any thing, but nothing to revealing. To show you are professional image you should dress up to match your hair. Like if it's rock , you should have black t-shirt and jeans. A lots of hairdresser use those hair dress apron and put scissors and hair clips around them, but for me , i don't like it. It cover the style of the hairdresser also look non fashion.
If I'm working , i will try to wear something comfortable and looks good , that's good enough.

Tools of the Trade

As a hairdresser there are many tools to use. The main tool for sure is scissors, to able to shape and cut hair, also a comb, to aim and measure where to cut.

There's a lot of different scissors, such as thinning scissors , facial hair scissors and different length and shapes. And there are clipper, to able to shave some spots.

To able to make different style effect , you need chemicals, it's called chemical hair curl or straightening. Also there's curl and straightening hair irons, that will curl your hair but it won't stay after you wash your hair.

Theres just actual tools, you also need a good sense of hairstyle, creativity and to able to have a good chat with customers to make them not bored.

To get more customers, beside a good hair cut, you also need to be chatable, if they like you ,for sure thay will come back.

How to Become a Professional?

How to become a professional hairdresser ? In Hong Kong is different than here , we don't need any degree or certificate to get into this job , all about is experience!!
Once you are 16 , you can get hire in to a salon to become a junior, follow a "Master" or "Teacher" to start learning. What junior do is cleanning and hair washing , than only can pratice on wigs for hair cutting and dying. One your Master think you are ready , he will give you a test , like find a modle, and you have to do what ever he/she saids , and see how you do. After you pass the test , you may start you real hairdressing career!!
By the way it's not that easy , normaly from a Junior to real hairdresser take time like 3 to 4 years.

A Day in the Life of a Hairdresser

A day of hairdresser, usually work from 10am-8pm, lots of free times. It looks very easy , just cut hair and make colour, but no, hairdresser have to make new ideas , always change style , read a lot of book to update what's peoples like about hair.
When a hairdresser arrive to the shop , they have to make sure every things is clean and tidy , than wait for customers , but mostly they have booking for the day.
When customers arrive , first a lovely hair wash , that is very important , it's the first thing to makes you customers happy , have a nice chat with them. Than according to what they like and cut their hair !!!
After the hair cut if you do a good job for sure the customers will come back next time , just ask them do they want to book for next time.

The Profession that I am interested in

The Profession that I am interested in......a Hairdresser!! An Asian style hairdresser.

A hairdresser is a universal term referring to someone whose occupation is to cut or style hair in order to change or maintain a person's image. This is achieved using a combination of hair colouring, haircutting and hair texture techniques.

I like to make other people feel confidence, so good that the thankful they give you after you done a good job.

I like Asian style because i think they more colourful , more techniques use in to it , and i like challangeing stuffs.
